Day 4
We checked out from Intercontinental in the afternoon and we checked into Angel Palace a 3* hotel at old quarter as we decided to spend the next 3 days in the busy streets of Hanoi.
Pretty decent hotel for a short stay, we didn’t have a window but lucky we were in room only to sleep.
We had Banh mi for lunch, very tasty and filling. We should have this in Singapore.
After lunch we proceeded to water puppet theater, nothing special. The show was in native language and until now we have no clue what it was about.
Water puppetry is a tradition that dates back as far as the 11th century when it originated in the villages of the Red River Delta area of northern Vietnam. Today’s Vietnamese water puppetry is a unique variation on the ancient Asian puppet tradition.
At old quarter egg coffee is a must try, if you head to Vietnam make sure you try the egg coffee at one of the local coffee shops.
Hanoi is a great place for a short vacation. My favorite place for lunch was Buncha Obama.
Thanks for your comment. Indeed its a great place, let us check out buncha obama next time when we head there. Thanks for sharing.
